The Flexicon Corporation, a global leading bulk material handling system manufacturer has an immediate opening for a technically well rounded and personable individual to join our testing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with some electrical experience as well. Must possess excellent communication skills to support direct communications internal personnel.
Main Tasks
- Includes mechanical setup of industrial equipment
- Able to read and interpret setup instructions in the form of layout drawings and forms
- Occasional interfacing with customers during testing
- Dismantle, clean, and restock equipment after testing is completed
- Maintain organized inventory and work-space
- Provide solutions for improvement / efficiency
Test Facility Maintenance
- General equipment PM’s
- General upkeep of Test Facility
- Repair of broken equipment and other items pertaining to Test Facility functions
Assisting with Research and Development
- Able to take direction, conduct structured testing and report back regarding equipment / material performance.
- Work with Engineering to aid in the development of new product lines and improvements to existing equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and with a team in equipment setup, upgrades and teardown
- Communicate effectively, verbal and in writing
- Take accurate data and relay information through other departments
- Make solid decisions and recommendations in a rapid paced, forward thinking environment
- Perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Operate a forklift and man lift
- Work at heights up to 25 feet
- Operate hand and power tools
- Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
Education and experience:
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, experience with industrial equipment and interacting with customers on a daily basis while maintaining a professional attitude and clean appearance.
